Welcome to Pack 47, Yonkers, New York's Website!
Hello Again!
Moose on the Loose here, back again to tell you all what's happening at Pack 47! We had a delightful
time in March at the Pinewood Derby. Kyle Creavan, Jonathan Kalaj, Terrance Doyle and Thomas Patrick Smyth all went
on to represent us at the Finals at Bryn Mawr. Great work boys and special thanks to Troop 47 who helped us put together
an awesome Pinewood Derby. We enjoyed pizza and soda too!
Our Pack Night for April was held on the 26th. Roger Stewart from the Four Rivers District came with
a presentation about Summer Scout Camps! Ah, to be back in the wilderness again! I highly recommend camping...maybe
you'll see some of my relatives at camp! Mr. Stewart also encouraged our parents to join the Friends of Scouting Program
and make a pledge for 2005. These donations are used for camp scholarships, the running of the Council Headquarters
in Hawthorne, and many other things that make scouting great!
I see that plans are also in the works for our first Blue and Gold Dinner, to be held on June 11 in the
cafeteria. For more news or to help out, please see Mary Creavan.
That's all for now, check back later for updates, news flashes and more great photos from Matt LaMonica,
our roving Pack photographer!

Some Information About Our Pack
Our charter organization is St. Paul the Apostle, located at 602 Mc Lean Avenue,
Yonkers, New York. We have been rechartered in March of 2004, and our goal is to help our Pack grow and participate in all
that Cub Scouting has to offer.
Cub Scouting is a wonderful way for our boys to work and play together in a structured
environment while learning valuable skills and tools that will help them throughout their lives.
Using age-appropriate
activities and following a program developed by the Boy Scouts of America, our boys meet from one to four times per month
based upon their age and rank, to work on achievements and life lessons that will enable them to advance through the Cub Scout
Program.
Our History
Pack 47 and Troop 47, our Boy Scout Troop, are two of the longest-established in the
area. We are hoping to revive Pack 47 and bring in many new boys this year.
